Matt @ Hardwood Paroxysm LOVES THE JAZZ!

I had to type that just to get a stir out of him. Finally a website he can't control.

Though you TBJ fans might like the Season Preview of the Utah Jazz over at HP.

I have to admit, he brings it...and he brings it hardcore. I actually agree with his assessment of AK. Matt hates the Jazz. True Blue Jazz hates the Rockets and Nuggets. Booner hates his man nippers. It's all in the circle of life. It's okay to disagree.

SLC Dunk didn't find it funny at all.

I really don't care either way. However I did ask Matt personally to reconsider one of his comments. I know he's a Hornets fan and I can't wait for the back-and-forth we'll get when these two teams meet in the post season.

Let the Jazz ripping begin!

(Please visit Hardwood Paroxysm and let him know your thoughts so he believes me when I tell them there is a Jazz Nation.)

Wow, we even got a follow-up article. Not every fanbase can say that.

I think we've become the Raiders of the NBA. No one seems to like the Jazz outside of Utah. In fact, aside from the Lakers, is there a team that is more commonly thrown into "I hate the ________" than the Jazz?

People keep saying we're insecure or sensitive (and there's probably a good portion of EVERY franchise that is like that) but I have a sneaking suspicion that it's the vocal fans that are the insecure ones. The secure, respectful, and GOOD fans probably don't care what Hardwood Paroxysm says, or Bill Simmons, or Marc Stein.

The Jazz certainly get little respect from the average biased fan, just read Hollinger's last chat wrap, "The Jazz? ...really? Behind the Lakers? C'mon man, be serious." etc.

Whatever... I'll wear spiked shoulder pads to the games over my Deron Williams jersey. Just remember, opinions are like butt-holes, everyone has one and they all stink.

And clearly I meant "The Jazz? ...really? IN FRONT OF the Lakers? C'mon man, be serious." etc.

It really is 3:30 AM here, that's my excuse

My head is spinning. It has never been better than right now to be a Jazz fan. This is the perfet team to take it to the league and I cant wait to see how it unfolds. Its a good thing that the season starts soon so we can put all of this opinion making to rest and get down to the facts.

That has to be the first ever "butt-hole" reference in TBJ history. Nice work.
Go Jazz!

probably could have used "armpit" instead...but I like making TBJ history

Ummm....What did we do?? I didn't know having a Coach with nearly 1000 wins with the franchise can get so much love(HATERS).I LOVE IT. I think we need to adopt this new HATE. Think about what we have...The perfect boring system:) Second fiddle PG(AGAIN),General Patton(Sloan), and the worst team sports name(Jazz). And one more thing we live in Utah, where in the hell is Utah.

I want you to keep hating the US for the next 10 years. Mark it down Oct 28 2008, the Jazz win 3 titles with one PG winning Two MVP's. But again keep hating us because the NAME is not going to change.

I read the Hardwood Paroxysm article. That is one guy that does not know our team. Boozer all hustle, has he watched him play defense? Morris "no pass no defense" Almond making an impact this year? Overrated? By who? Wouldn't overrated mean that we would have to be rated higher than we are actually capable of performing. Maybe Hollinger with his #1 in the West was a little high, but at least he bases his ratings on statistics. I guess the statistics overrate us.
Also, I really don't think the Jazz are a very hated team. I've lived in Michigan, Vegas, and now Ohio. Nobody in those places really cares about the Jazz. I guess maybe among hardcore, Western Conference Based, NBA fan bloggers we might not be liked, but by and large the casual/Eastern Conference NBA fan could care less about the Jazz.

I would like to think Lee and I are responsible for the mainstream and widespread dislike of the Utah Jazz.

Sincerly,

The Dream Shake

BTW, Matt isn't a Hornets fan really. He's actually a Rockets fan at heart (started watching for Hakeem) and that should explain a lot to you

BTW, there are a LOT of teams that are hated more than the Jazz. But none hated more by me.

But I still love you guys
