A Little Less "Thug" in the Thuggets

Iverson just got traded to Detroit for Chauncey Billups, Antonio McDyess and some 3rd round pick who will be waived immediately. My initial reaction is that the Nuggets are going to be more balanced and steady, but less explosive and the defense should be a bit better. Overall this move should put them ahead of Portland in the division rankings and make them a better rival for the Jazz.

I just heard Stephen A. Smith say McDyess would most likely never be a Nugget. Am I hearing that right?

I dont know about McDyess, but I just took a look at Billups contract and holy cow that is going to suck for the Nuggets. He has 4 years including this one for 50 million left. That will make Chauncey 36 or 37 when this contract is up and we all know how well Point Guards do after 33. See Kidd, Jason for exhibit one and Payton, gary for exhibit two. Steve Nash has been playing less and less minutes as well and his demise is right around the corner. Good trade for Denver this year, but look out for the next three.

Speaking of trades...Rumor is that Al Harrington is looking to be moved...What do you think it will take for the Warriors to give him up? Maybe a Harp and Miles deal? I would also say Memo, but than again we bring Jarron back into play..But I might pull the trigger anyways on that deal.

But like you Hammy, terrible move for the Nuggs.
